Antiparos is a small rocky island inhabited the southern Aegean , which is less than one nautical mile from Paros , the port which connects small local ferry . In islet periwinkle is the oldest settlement in the Cyclades , and the Despotic , uninhabited island in the southwest of Antiparos , a place of great archaeological importance.

Capital of the municipality of Antiparos is the homonym settlement developed around the historic center of the Venetian Castle , in the northeastern part of the island.

The island is visited by thousands of tourists to admire the spectacular views that is scattered in every corner of the island , beautiful beaches , quaint cobbled streets , beautiful traditional food , fresh fish, grilled octopus , the local meat, wonderful wines and raki of Antiparos.

The coast of Antiparos distinguished for its golden sands and clear waters and why this island attracts tourism during the summer months. The most famous beaches in the region of the central village are Psaralykes .
